All animals respond well to Ortho-Bionomy®. As a life-long horsewoman it was a natural step to extend my work in Ortho-Bionomy® and TEC to my horses.
Horses respond particularly well to Ortho-Bionomy® and The Emotion Code. Both of these modalities appeal to the horse's instinct to naturally seek more comfort whenever possible. We humans tend to hang on to our familiar posture out of habit, even if it is not balanced or comfortable; animals are much more willing to give up those patterns and move freely again.
Of course there are sometimes conformational issues, or an injury to work with...Ortho-Bionomy® can still help. The goal in these instances is to create more comfort, rather than to "fix" things. Releasing tight areas and freeing up old muscle movement patterns can make a big difference in how the horse moves.
Working with a riding horse can improve his comfort & performance. Working with the rider can improve the rider's comfort & performance. Working with both horse and rider is most effective. My goal is to find that place of comfort where both horse and rider meet and work together in comfort and to the best of their ability.
